This set of hands-on tutorials will give you the basic tools needed to conduct economic and statistical analysis in EViews. The goal is to familiarize students with the econometric capabilities offered by the EViews software package as an aid in coursework, end-of-year research projects and to provide marketable skills for future careers in economics, finance and consulting. Students will learn how to import data into EViews, learn some of the graphing capabilities of the software, as well as go over basic econometric techniques that can be utilized in EViews. Time permitting, we will discuss de-trending and other techniques commonly used in business cycle analysis. These workshops are for MIEF students only.
