Explores developments and policy issues in the financial structures of selected emerging-market economies, including the functioning of the bond market, the equity market and the banking system; the role of central banks and official oversight; and issues of information, corporate governance, privatization, risk management and legal foundations. Prerequisites: Microeconomics or Accelerated Microeconomics and Macroeconomics or Accelerated Macroeconomics.
