Behind each breach announcement or attack attribution is an analyst or teams of analysts working through complex data sets to get to a clear understanding of the situation. This course will equip participants with the foundational Python programming skills required to start to explore security investigations. Each week the lesson material will pair a foundational concept in cyber security to a foundational programming skill. The course prepares students for investigative work as well as those who wish to work in policy or strategic roles who will often read and respond to investigative products. Students will be able to craft an analytic security question, initiate an original research project, and use publicly available data to reach an analytic conclusion. Taught by April Eubank & Lauren Boas Hayes
