Introduction to the political geography of the world’s most rapidly growing region, and how Asia’s global role is being transformed by economic expansion. Particular emphasis on inter-relationships among Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and South Asia, in the context of China’s rise, as well as on strategic sea lanes that interconnect the nations of Asia.
