This course surveys US relations towards Latin America and the Caribbean from the evolution of the Cold War to the emergence of the drug war up to today's global pandemic. Current relations are examined by major area: trade and investment policy, immigration, etc highlighting current crises such as Venezuela and Nicaragua.
