Energy Markets in the Middle East and Central Asia

The course covers in details the energy markets of the major producers of natural gas and oil in the Arab-Persian Gulf [Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq, UAE, etc.] and in the Central Asian states [Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, etc.]. The class will also discuss the strategic implications of the rise of the Far Eastern consumers as well as the decline of demand from the Western countries. The class is taught by two instructors with long experience in the energy markets and politics of these regions.
