This course is designed to introduce students to the kind of speaking activities -- from briefings to persuasive and impromptu remarks to handling the press and participating in panel discussions -- common to careers in the public, non-profit and private sectors. It also perfects students' listening and note-taking skills. Classes include inter alia peer review of students' speaking assignments, listening comprehension, and language review as required. The course's content focuses on 21st century populist movement.
