This series aims to provide students with a foundational understanding of the functions and data structures commonly used in Excel-heavy work environments. Sessions will introduce tools for rapidly summarizing large datasets and show how to work with unsorted or inconsistent data. Other courses will extend lookup and reference functions and elaborate on dynamic charting, indirect and offset functions, and conditional array-type functions. Throughout the course, students will learn simple model-building techniques and standards for model design and data flow. Instruction by Edward Moe and Valentine Markov. All students are required to take sessions 1 and 2, and they must be with the same professor. All students must take at least 2 of the four remaining sessions. A student must have successfully completed at least 4 class sessions for this course to be noted on their transcript.
