In recent years, the sustainable finance market has witnessed tremendous growth, resulting in myriad professional opportunities. This course is an introduction to the world of sustainable finance and Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG). In this course, students will learn how to analyze a company or entity’s ESG strategy, with a focus on material topics to the sector. Students will also learn about sustainable debt markets, and by the end of the course, be able to opine on the credibility of green/social/sustainability-linked debt instruments. The course deliverable will be a group presentation and short report in the form of a second party opinion (SPO), a highly valuable investor tool. This course is taught by a professional at S&P Global Ratings. Basic corporate finance knowledge and Excel skills are recommended.
