This skills course is designed to expose students to current ESG considerations impacting a range of sectors – and is designed to equip students who may be interested in positions in company sustainability or investor relations departments, or in ESG positions in the financial sector, or law firms (which are increasingly creating ESG compliance departments) with the background and skills necessary to 1) understand the current and rapidly changing regulatory environment regarding the corporate sector’s responsibility for environmental and human rights impacts; 2) ability to spot and analyze issues that might affect the financial valuation or reputation of a company in various sectors, 3) learn about different resources available to help make more thorough company and sector evaluations.
