Operating in Ambiguity

This course teaches students how to solve problems driven by ambiguous human behavior through structured perspective-taking. It provides students with a toolkit for accessing a stakeholder's perspective, developing the perspective to enable a more effective solution, and then deploying it against a problem. We will develop and apply this toolkit across multiple case studies: from evaluating Mark Zuckerberg's behavior in the run up to Facebook's acquisition of Oculus, to profiling a fictional character's inner state, to breaking down the Taliban's ambiguous commitment to peace talks. Instruction by Leo Klenner.
