The realities of employment within a global enterprise often surpass intellect, knowledge and educational training. The difference between success and failure is often minute in the business world and requires heightened sensitivities to the realities of divergent cultural, economic and intellectual perspectives and incongruities. This course addresses the inter-personal and related business skills necessary to coordinate disparate groups of employees located in multiple geographic regions, to collaborate successfully on any given project. The class will introduce students to various methods to analyze multi-national human and systematic differences as affecting business actions. It will review key global trends and variables necessary to understand and anticipate the best practices for effectively engaging with a range of stakeholders/employees who may have different interests.
