Whether presenting research findings, analyzing potential courses of action, or describing an organization’s ongoing efforts, briefing – the oral communication of information – is an essential, lifelong skill in the workforce. This course is an introduction and opportunity to develop, practice, and refine effective briefing techniques for professional settings ranging from government and business to the non-profit sector. Over four sessions, this course will provide an introduction to the types of briefings one might be expected to deliver, important decisions on how to structure briefings and display information, tips on organization and delivery, and individualized feedback from the instructor on two briefings.
