This course prepares participants to develop and deliver compelling, audience-focused messages with confidence and clarity. The course is built on a critical thinking model; clearly identifying the audience, purpose, and setting for each presentation enables participants to tailor their communication to achieve focused outcomes. Participants will learn strategies to structure content, engage the audience, and illustrate a central message. Through active practice, they will hone delivery skills including a confident physical presence, clear and engaging vocal delivery, powerful nonverbal communication, and genuine connection with the audience, both in person and in virtual speaking situations. Participants will expand their repertoire of speaking strategies to enhance their confidence and success as presenters in both formal and informal situations.
