The professional skills course will take interested students through the mechanics of how venture firms work, what investors look for, and how to craft a compelling and value business pitch. Imbued in the workshop will be lessons in team building, business planning, funding an enterprise, and leadership skills. By the end of this workshop, students will better understand global venture markets, the importance of customer discovery in founding a social or business venture, how to successfully pitch a business start-up idea to foundations and investors, and how to successfully build programs and influence change inside complex organizations.
